It’s Christmas time and you can make this Christmas season extra special by giving the gift of hope to children battling brain tumours.
We’re encouraging you to donate your last hour’s salary for the year and help us bring comfort and joy to families in need. Just one hour of your salary can help us to support even more families in 2024.
Where would your money go?
In 2024, we are embarking on an exciting new chapter of our mission, reaching out to assist more families in their time of need at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. With 30-40 children newly diagnosed in the South-Central area of the UK every year, our goal is to provide essential support to these children and their families as they navigate the challenges posed by brain tumours.
Your generous donation holds the power to transform lives. It can fund comprehensive whole-family sessions, or it can provide vital one-on-one counselling sessions with our experienced psychologists. These sessions serve as lifelines for families facing various challenges, including the unimaginable loss of a child, siblings grappling with feelings of isolation, and children trying to adapt to the profound changes brought about by their brain tumour diagnosis. We recognise that each family’s journey is unique, and our psychologists are dedicated to helping them find a path forward.
Our commitment extends to families from all walks of life, each facing their own distinct set of challenges and prognoses. We firmly believe that every family can benefit from the professional guidance of our psychologists as they face this difficult journey.
As we expand our reach, we invite you to join us in making a significant impact on the lives of those in need. Your support can be a beacon of hope for these families, helping them find strength and resilience during a difficult time. Together, we can make a real difference in their lives and offer them the support they require.
What your generous donations have helped us to achieve in 2023:
Your generous contributions in 2023 have enabled us to achieve remarkable milestones:
- Supporting children with brain tumours: We’ve been able to provide crucial assistance to 536 children who have been diagnosed with brain tumours, as well as their families. Through your generous donations, we’ve offered them the vital psychological support required to cope with the numerous challenges that come as a result of their brain tumour and medical treatment.
- Expanding our reach: We’ve expanded to new parts of the country by opening a service at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool. This expansion has allowed us to extend our help to children in some of the most underprivileged areas across the North West of the country.
It’s essential to emphasise that none of these achievements would have been possible without the invaluable support from donors like you. Your continued commitment to our cause empowers us to make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of these children and their families. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey to create a better future for those in need.
