This year our co-founder Debs signed up to run the Vitality London 10k (May 2020) in aid of Tom’s Trust. 10 runners set the target to raise a huge £10k for our charity by running 10k.
COVID-19 derailed these plans, but Debs made the decision to not stop running.
A course has been plotted around Cambridge and Debs with 9 friends will run a socially distanced 10k for Tom’s Trust on Monday 25th May 2020
To prepare Debs has been training hard during lockdown, using her one outing of exercise a day to build up to a 10k run.
You don’t need to take our word for how hard she is working, hear it from Debs herself:
“I’m really proud that I can actually run more than just up the road now! It has been such a focus to keep running through lockdown and now I, along with 9 other girlfriends am ready to do the virtual 10k on Monday 25th May. None of us are runners naturally and we have a few injuries between us, but we’re all really excited about doing it! It feels even more important now than when we originally agreed to do it, because small charities are really struggling and we are determined to not only continue to support our families, but to grow to support even more families across the UK.”
