Some of our families were able to enjoy a special Christmas party at Lanwades Hall, Suffolk, on Christmas Eve. The event was held by Brainbow, the rehabilitation service for children and young people with brain tumours, based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where Tom’s Trust makes up one of three charities which fund the service.

The families enjoyed seeing Father Christmas at the Lapland themed party, who gave out presents, along with his elves. Some delicious Christmas treats were enjoyed by the children.

Sophia Lofthouse, eight, who was diagnosed with a type of brain tumour called a pilocytic astrocytoma, enjoyed the party

Rebecca Wood, Tom’s Trust CEO, who attended on the day along with Kirsty Keegan, Tom’s Trust Head of Fundaraising, said: “It was a wonderful day, the kids clearly enjoyed every second and seeing their smiles was just wonderful.”
