Our vision and mission

Our vision

Tom’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to providing psychological support to children and young people with brain and CNS tumours and their families. By supporting the whole family, we will help them to create their brightest possible future beyond diagnosis. Our vision is that by 2031, every child diagnosed with a brain tumour and their family will have access to a minimum level of specialist psychological support, funded by us, at whatever point they are in their journey and wherever they live in the UK.

Our mission

Our mission is to provide psychological support to children with brain tumours and their families in every area of the UK that needs us. Today, our four in-hospital Tom’s Trust clinical psychology services ensure families in those regions receive the support they need. We also provide nationally accessible guidance and support through our online resource hub. Our expert teams support families from the devastating point of a child’s brain tumour diagnosis, through brutal treatment, and rehabilitation, or when facing the reality of a dying child and bereavement – because a child’s brain tumour diagnosis impacts the whole family.  Find out more about our work.
