Christmas Card Competition 2026

How to send us your artwork

Once you’ve finished colouring your Christmas card template, we’ll need a clear digital copy of your artwork. You can either take a photo with a phone or tablet, or scan it.

Taking a photo

For the best results:

• Place your artwork flat on a table or other smooth surface.
• Take the photo somewhere with plenty of natural light.
• Hold your phone or tablet directly above the artwork, rather than at an angle.
• Make sure the whole design is visible and nothing is cut off.
• Check the photo is clear and in focus, with no shadows across the page.
• Avoid using the flash, as this can cause glare on the paper.
• Take the photo using the highest quality setting available on your device.
• Please send us the original photo, rather than a screenshot or compressed version.

Scanning your artwork

If you have access to a scanner, this is a great way to create a high-quality digital copy.

• Scan your artwork in colour.
• If possible, use a resolution of 300 dpi or higher.
• Make sure the whole design is included and nothing is cropped.
• Save the file as a JPEG, PNG or PDF.
• Please send us the original, highest-quality file and avoid compressing or resizing it.

Before you send it

Please take a moment to check your photo or scan:

✅ The whole artwork is visible
✅ The image is bright and clear
✅ The artwork is in focus
✅ Colours look as close to the original as possible
✅ There are no shadows, glare or reflections
✅ The image hasn’t been cropped, resized or compressed

Then simply attach the original photo or scan to your email and send it to kirsty.keegan@tomstrust.org.uk
