Amazon customers can now select their favourite charity and shop using AmazonSmile on the Amazon Shopping App, meaning customers can generate donations for Tom’s Trust simply by shopping for eligible items on their iOS or Android phones.
AmazonSmile is Amazon’s charity initiative that allows you to support your favourite charity, be it local or national, big or small, every time you purchase products on Amazon and at no extra cost as a customer. Where customers would previously have to go to smile.amazon.co.uk with every purchase to ensure a donation is made, they can now donate to Tom’s Trust with no forethought necessary by selecting Tom’s Trust as their chosen charity on the Amazon app. From there, every eligible purchase made on the app will result in 0.5% of the net purchase price automatically going to Tom’s Trust.
So far, £438 has been raised through AmazonSmile for Tom’s Trust. This amount is set to rise quickly thanks to this latest development.

How to sign up for AmazonSmile in the app
- Download or update to the latest version of the Amazon Shopping App for iOS or Android
- Open the app and find “AmazonSmile” in the main menu (☰) under “Programmes and Features”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to choose your charity and turn on AmazonSmile in the Amazon Shopping App
- Start generating donations while you shop eligible items in the app!
