TTP Cambridge Half Marathon 2024

The Cambridge Half Marathon features beautiful scenery along a flat course, all to raise money for worthy causes.

Date: Sunday 3rd March 2024

Team Tom

Tom’s Trust is an official charity partner to the Cambridge Half Marathon and we enter annually. By becoming part of Tom’s Trust’s Cambridge Half Marathon team you’ll receive expert training and fundraising advice and become part of a wonderful community of runners, all while getting healthier and experiencing the wonderful feeling that comes with helping young families living with a brain tumour diagnosis.

This year the collaborative goal for our team this year is to raise enough money to fund ten families’ mental health care for the next year.

F45 Training

Tom’s Trust have teamed up with the incredible F45 Training in Cambridge who will very kindly take the training sessions given below, for Team Tom. Thank you, F45!

Who are F45 Training?

F45 offers a variety of functional training classes which help build aerobic capacity and endurance, as well as resistance classes to help strengthen all those areas that are so key to running well and preventing injury in training.

The dates for the sessions will be as follows:

  • Sunday 14th January
  • Sunday 25th February

Please confirm your attendance to the training sessions if you have not already done so by contacting F45 Training (cambridgestation@f45training.co.uk)

Both sessions will start 9.30am at F45 in Cambridge, based at: 60 Station Road, Cambridge, CB1 2JH.

Parking can be found at the train station.

Bags can be left at the studio when you go out for a run, and there is a space to change at the studio if needed.

Sunday 14th January

This session will include a 10k run, followed by mobility training in the studio, and snacks.

Sunday 25th February

Due to this session being the week before the event, it will include a gentle run to shake things out, followed by mobility training in the studio, and a Q&A on race tips with snacks.

Own place

If you already have your own place in the Cambridge Half Marathon, you can use it to change the lives of children with brain tumours. By joining our team you’ll receive all the same support and advice as our charity place runners.

You’ll have no registration fee or specific fundraising target, but we’ll help you raise as much as you can and appreciate anything you can raise for us. Just email Jess Wilde, our Community and Corporate Fundraising Manager, on jessica@tomstrust.org.uk, and let her know you’ll be joining us.

JustGiving

Kick-start your fundraising by setting up a JustGiving page. You can easily share your page with your friends, family and colleagues on social media and email, and the platform couldn’t be simpler to use.

The money you donate is sent to us, Gift Aid collected, and your sponsors thanked. Easy-peasy!
