This week we have marked Men’s Health Week (9-15 June) by sharing three father’s stories – they have all talked about the mental strain that having a seriously ill child can have. We have also spoken to our Director of Services Development, Dr Lynda Teape for advice and shared a piece written by our Tom’s Trust clinical psychologist Dr Emily Townsend looking at the research into the topic.

Today we share Darren, Martin and Andrew’s advice, what they would say to a father facing a child’s brain tumour diagnosis now. The overwhelming message is ask for help / reach out for support – be that through your Tom’s Trust clinical psychologist if you have access to one or somewhere else. We have signposted a few great organisations below.
