Five steps to a successful fundraiser:
- Let us know
We can give you any support you need and promote your event on our social media pages. Contact us at info@tomstrust.org.uk
- Set up a fundraising page on JustGiving
This makes it easy for your supporters to follow your progress and donate without admin fees. Read their fundraising tips to help with make your fundraising a success.
- Use social media
Social media is a great way to let people know about what you’re doing. Sharing regular updates and including photos, videos, hashtags and links to your fundraising page will help create interest. Why not try a T for Tom like some of our fundraisers and celebrity supporters? You can follow us, and tag us in your fundraising, on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
- Contact the local press
See if a local newspaper, radio station or website/ blog will publish a story about your fundraising activity. We’ve got a detailed guide to this in our fundraising pack and a press release template for you to use as starting point.
- Tell your school or workplace
Getting colleagues or schoolmates involved can raise not only funds but also awareness of Tom’s Trust in the community. We can work with your employer or come to your school for a visit to help make your fundraising efforts go even further.
