We’re hiring: Trusts and Foundations Manager

SALARY: £35-38,000 pro rata depending on experience

LOCATION/BASE: Home based with travel to the Cambridgeshire office monthly/on occasion

HOURS: 3 days per week (21 hours) with flexibility of days and hours but must include Tuesdays
for our team meetings

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Trusts & Foundations Officer

JOB SUMMARY: The Trusts and Foundations Manager will be responsible for researching, applying and reporting back to grant making bodies to secure our ambitious Trust fundraising budget. This role requires someone with significant senior experience of working in a Trust and Foundations team, with a track record of securing mid-to-large donations from local, regional and national funding bodies as well as corporate foundations. We are a small team and, together with the Trusts and Foundations Officer, the income you generate makes a big contribution to our overall fundraising. We’re looking for a creative and ambitious fundraiser with a growth mindset. Someone who is pro-active, eager to seek and shape new opportunities and is tenacious in researching new opportunities with a good grasp of projects, strong written skills and an eye for detail.

You will work closely with the Senior Management Team to develop funding packages and pulling together this information in order to create persuasive, clear applications and you will have outstanding communication and writing skills as well as a thorough understanding of how to write and present detailed reports to illustrate the impact, outcomes and outputs for our charity.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contribute to the charity’s sustainable future with an imaginative, robust and successful trust and grants strategy to meet the overall fundraising strategy.
• Identify and research prospective trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies and coordinate a workplan and pipeline with clear deadlines and income opportunities.
• Produce compelling, persuasive and professional grant applications to secure and renew funding. You will be required to develop an inspirational insight into the details of how our work is implemented and what it is seeking to achieve.
• Develop and write concise and captivating grant reports to encourage the renewal and cultivation of potential and existing donations.
• Compile updates to Head of Fundraising & Communications and provide briefings on funding streams and strategic recommendations.
• Prepare service budgets for applications and work with the team to track and report on these budgets.
• Maintain excellent records of income, pipeline and funder engagement using our CRM system, Donorfy.
