Host a Tea for Tom
Join Tom’s Trust in hosting your very own Tea for Tom to raise vital funds for children with brain tumours and their families across the UK. We’re asking our supporters to host a tea party for friends and family. Whether you would prefer a fun and relaxed get together, a Mad Hatter’s tea party or a more formal occasion similar to tea at the Ritz, we’d love for you to join in and make the event your own. You can host at home, in a garden or park, at an office or place of work, at school during lunch, or for bigger Tea for Tom parties, why not hire out a venue?
Guests then pay a donation to enjoy the event, however much they can spare. This money will go directly to Tom’s Trust, supporting children with brain tumours and their families.

I’m in! What do I need to do?
- Download your free party pack here. The pack contains recipes, activities, decorations, and fundraising tips to help you host your event.
- Spread the word: Choose a date and time for your event and a location. Then invite your friends, family, or colleagues letting them know about your Tea for Tom party.
- Enjoy the party: Sit back, relax, and watch the donations roll in as you enjoy the fruits of your labour (or should we say cakes of your labour?!). You can either collect cash donations from your event and transfer the equivalent funds directly via our website, or you can set up your own fundraising page ahead of the day and guests can donate via this page. You could create a JustGiving page which you can connect directly to our JustGiving Tea for Tom campaign page. You’ll just need to send the page link to your guests and ask them to donate.
Where your money goes
Tom’s Trust clinical psychologists support hundreds of families facing a child’s brain tumour diagnosis in the East, North-East, North-West and Thames Valley, with a view to adding more in-hospital services in the coming years. We also provide nationally accessible guidance and support through our online resource hub. Our expert teams support families from the devastating point of a child’s brain tumour diagnosis, through brutal treatment, and rehabilitation, or when facing the reality of a dying child and bereavement with cognitive, psychological, and emotional assessments, one-to-one support, school liaison, whole-family support, sibling specific support, and group work.
