Tom’s Trust has been awarded an £1,800 grant by the National Lottery Awards for All. The funds will support 40 home or school visits over a 12 month period. The money will enable the Tom’s Trust Clinical Psychologists to observe a child in a classroom environment and help the teachers develop tailored learning techniques for the child and support families at home to help them cope with the challenges and impacts of a brain tumour, including physical, mental and emotional difficulties, and family bereavement if a child does not survive.
The National Lottery Awards for All is vital to ensure Tom’s Trusts continues to support children diagnosed with a brain tumour and their families through a devastating and unknown journey.
