Tom Trust has released its impact statement for 2022, revealing that it has helped an estimated 1,137 people through its work this year.
The charity can now announce it will be opening a new centre at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, meaning there will be three Tom’s Trust centres, which will mean next year the charity will be helping hundreds more children and their loved ones.
Rebecca Wood, Tom’s Trust CEO, said: “In what has been an extremely challenging climate for charities this year, we’re so pleased to see our small charity not only continue to help families coping with brain tumours at our centres in the North East and East Anglia, but grow as we have now solidified our plans for our new centre in the North West, helping in some of the most deprived areas of the country. We are so looking forward to seeing what 2023 will bring.”
