In the last 13 years we have provided psychological support to over 1600 children with brain and other central nervous system tumours and 4800 family members.

Thanks to you – our supporters.

Our 13 highlights from the last year include:

-Opening our Alder Hey service supporting children in the North West

-Launching the UK’s first Sibling Toolkit, and appearing on BBC Breakfast News

-Holding our first Clay Pigeon Shoot Day

-Going Grey in May

-Thanking our wonderful volunteers during Volunteer’s Week

-Seeing all the ways you have fundraised – Tris for Tom, marathons, hikes, skydives, coast to coast walks, bucket collections, challenges, Christmas jumper wearing, carols

-Publishing our Young Ambassador’s web page full of inspiring stories

-Securing funding from the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund for new roles

-Recruiting our Director of Services Development and Family Liaison Coordinator

-Working with some incredible corporate partners

-Seeing two of our service centres awarded with ‘Centre of Excellence’ status from The Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission

-Developing our Network Fund – where we give grants to Clinical Psychologists and Paediatricians to further clinical development, training, and support for children and young people and their families who have, or have had, a brain tumour

-& finally, supporting The Brain Tumour Charity as they launched their campaign urging the Government to implement a National Brain Tumour Strategy.

What’s next?

We will open our fourth service in autumn 2024 (more news on this soon), and we are currently planning our fifth and sixth services, and we continue with our mission – to provide psychological support to children with brain tumours and their families in every area of the UK that needs us.
